Daily writing prompt
Why do you blog?

When I created this page a year ago, it was to document the swathes of progress I would make as a freshly graduated Creative Writer. After turning in my final assignment, I was abruptly left with no structure and plenty of time to process the stress of the last four years: I was down for the count for a number of months.

I’ve been blogging on various sites since I was twelve. In the early days it was to share my thoughts and feelings, contian my teenage angst, as well as keep a record to reflect on later. On this site, I blog to document my progress as a writer, reader, and creative.

I upload a ‘Reflections’ posts every quater recap my goals and progress in a consise way, while my other posts are more specific and center around a single topic.

My current goals in 2024 include:
1) Read more – I’ve already achieved my goal of reading ten books
2) Be active with BookTube – I’ve been semi-consistent and really enjoy interacting with passionate readers
3) Complete a manuscript – I am making steady progress
4) Apply for Internships/ Work Experience – I have applied twice to the Penguin Random House Work Experience program and plan to research more opportunities in future

This blog is mostly a record for myself, and potential employers, to document the projects I work on and progress I make.
